While requesting GCMS notes is a matter of personal choice. IRCC has been facing rampant delays, and 50% of all requests for GCMS notes filed with IRCC are delayed. Each year IRCC publishes the statistics on how much time it took them to release the requested information. The reports, which have the processing times are available for, 2019-2020 and 2020-2021.

Requesting your GCMS notes from CBSA would be a much better choice.

No difference, same report. I have heard CBSA is faster but for me IRCC processed my request faster than CBSA. May be it all depends on our luck lol

I applied myself as I’m a citizen for the family members on January 10th 2023, but nothing so far. I didn’t attach my Canadian passport to show I’m a citizen, but I read on CIC website that they will call me if something they need. But it’s now over 50 days …

Do you know and if so could you please share what CBSA entry and exit travel history typically looks like? Does it usually include the "purpose of visit (study/personal/business) or whether a study/work permit was used by the individual? Thanks so much in advance!!

The travel history report looks like this:



Here work location refers to the port of entry, i.e. Pearson Intl' airport, or the Rainbow Bridge etc.

The report does not indicate the reason for entry.
