Happy New Year Folks!

No change since the famous ghost update of Dec 16th. Hoping for some movement for all of us.

No update/Ghost update. Still waiting.
Everything is still 'In Progress'.
ECAS is still : Application Received.

How do I know if I get GU? I received my AOR email on Nov 3rd, then had two emails that stated to follow my process one on Nov. 16th the other one on Nov 26th. Would these be considered as GU? Just wondering as I didn't receive the update of Dec 16th like everyone else.
I have to admit that I love seeing all of your applications getting updated, hoping all applications move faster now that the holidays are over.

GU for citizenship application don't come via email. You need to login to the tracker and check the date on the top right. If its updated but there is no change in the status of the activities, it means a GU.

Thank you for your response and clarifynig, I don't know why I thought it be like the sponsorship process as back in the (2016) you'd get emails everytime they'd look into your file or made any type of updates. I did in fact check my tracker and I did get the GU from Dec 16th as everyone else.

Hello Folks, I received a second Ghost Update on January 7, 2023. Also on the ECAS Paper Tracker, on clicking "In Process", it shows that they started processing the application on January 5, 2023. The previous Ghost Update was on December 16, 2022.

Likewise. Ecas shows in progress from Jan 8th onwards.

Is ecas for only paper applications...coz I applied online...when I try to check status through ecas login it says application not found...but when I go through the link provided in aor, it says in process

Correct. ECAS is available only for paper applicants. Online applicants need to use the new tracker

ECAS went in progress today. Looks like they are working on the Sept files right now.

Hang in tight.They are getting there. Honestly I don't see any sequence coz I saw people with files received after me and got their BG already done.
