That's very unfortunate for me! applied on June and nothing so far but the AOR!

Do you have any idea what kind of documents that need to be updated?
Don't worry. There's no logic for IRCC, sooner or later they will come to your case! they have to.
Based on what I'm told or heard, the documents can differ case by case, but mostly these documents were asked: progress report, education documents, military service, proof of funds, schedule A form, travel history form, police certificate, and incorporation documents.

Processing time now is 32 months up 1 month! which seems logical and I sadly think this number is subjected to increase if processing applications is this slow!

Its called the Canadian Immigration Levels Plan
Federal Business = SUV + Self Employed
2022 Quota = approx 1,000
700 SUV + 300 SE approval this year can be estimated from Statistics Canada
2023 Quota = approx 3,500
2024 Quota = approx 5,000
2025 Quota = approx 6,000

Cross-reference to the current Federal Business application backlog to estimate the change in processing time from AOR to CORP for 2023 & 2024

Where did you get the 700 + 300 number? I thought the average acceptance was around 1200 for 2022.

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/publications-manuals/annual-reports-parliament-immigration.html

2019 range 500 - 1500; 1,336 total approvals (last year for IRVC Pilot); 515 SUV approvals
2020 range 500 - 1400; 575 total approvals (SUV + FSE)
2021 range 400 - 1250; 565 total approvals (SUV + FSE)
2022 range 800 - 1500; target 1000; H1 2022 325 SUV approvals
700 SUV + 300 SE approval this year can be estimated from Statistics Canada

Federal Business makes up less than 0.5% of Economic Immigration :(

As applicants, there isn't much we can do besides GCMS updates if our application is still pending. If we don't get an answer after the average processing time, it is possible to send a webform for an update. But the webform itself might take a year or two to get an answer

https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/canada-case-cas-eng.aspx

Canada immigration Minister Sean Fraser says Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) is hiring up to 1,250 and will have those new employees in place by this autumn to cut through the growing backlog of applications and cut processing times. - August 2022

Thanks for the update. Slightly disappointed it is still a closed WP

This part I find funny, yeah right, as if ... lol

The permanent residence application should normally be finalized within six months. If a permanent residence application is in process but not finalized, a work permit extension will be considered on a case-by-case basis through the normal extension process at CPC-Vegreville.

Also this could be an error ...

  • Employment Location: As per section 8.1 of the Commitment Certificate;
Section 8.1 of the Commitment Certificate is DO to check PoF for 52 weeks, not employment location. There is a possibility that the CC format is changed
If no one can answer, I'd trigger my DO next week

By the way, this is what I did, I just applied for extension as they mentioned normal extension process but I am still sceptical about that! I hope it's not refused after all!
