Wait what.. I've never heard of this haha. So in your religion, you can never buy a house unless you pay in cash?
Hard to believe but there used to be a time not too long ago where you could buy a house outright with just one income.
Scholars have loosened the restriction a bit, but usury in all forms is absolutely forbidden in Islam. Read more on it, I am not the best person to explain this.

I'll look it up yeah. I've had several muslim friends and I've never heard of this haha. My ignorance I suppose.

Also, what country are you talking about where you can buy a house outright (no mortgages) with one income? Sounds implausible.

You can still do ALL of that with a used car. The ONLY argument you're making here is that you want to buy a new car and said provisions allow you to justify it. None of these are arguments to buy a new car over a used one. Hey, you like cars, go for it.
NOPE, You can't. Need a new car to get all the benefits here at least. Used will only get me some or very little, regardless of that, the only argument I'm making here is that, it's not naive or reckless to buy new cars for everyone, neither everyone should buy a new car only when they have extra money lying around.

It is one of the major tenet of Islam. Interest is considered evil and forbidden. There is an entire financial industry to provide credit which is compliant with religious believes of muslims. One simple model is lease to own (https://www.investopedia.com/updates/rent-to-own-homes/#:~:text=A rent-to-own agreement is a deal in which, property at a later time.).

The idea is you agree to lease / rent a property for a period of time (say 20-30 years) and at the end of the lease you have an option to buy it at a pre-agreed price.

Basically, the seller makes money by providing you housing (a service and valid financial model according to Islam) and agrees to sell it to you for a fixed price at the end of lease. If the fixed price is low enough then this model works. I have seen many constructors / builders in Canada do this. BOSA (https://bosaproperties.com/en/) has such a model called Rent to Own.

Hi everyone. I have a question about LOE. For instance, in my case, my first EE profile using my current job NOC code (started in July) was assessed as "ineligible" by the system right away since my current job does not meet at least 1-year full-time working hours. I then created another EE profile using my prior job NOC in the last 5 yrs and I recently got the ITA.

On the person detail page, I was asked whether I have applied for PR prior and my UCI. I provided the UCI for that "ineligible" EE profile. Do I need to provide a letter of explanation for this situation? My first EE profile had never been picked from any draw since was 0 point.

Thanks so much!

If your first profile wasn't picked for a draw and you didn't submit an application, how did you get a UCI number? A UCI number is only assigned to you after AOR. You probably provided your profile number, which is not the same as UCI number. Someone else can confirm.

My apology. It was not UCI. It is the profile #. The question in the person detail says the PR file # which I thought it was the profile # listed in my first ineligible EE profile. In that case, do I need to explain it or simply delete that number in my current profile after ITA?

I do have a different UCI from my previous visitor visa application, which I provided in the following question though. The new UCI assigned to me in my EE profile after ITA starts with "CAN".

If you have never been invited to submit an application for PR, you should say no to that question. Having an EE profile does not mean you apply for PR, it is just an expression of interest to submit PR application.

Thanks so much. I have updated my answer to "No" for that particular question. I've also prepared a LOE or that is way too extra.

I was confused like you were when I filed my application in 2020, then I realised that it should be a "no" answer, and I simply said no, without any explanation. You can say a few words in your LOE if you think it can put you on a safe side, but for me I did not, and my application was approved without any problem with that. Good luck.

Hello guys !

Just wanted to announce that the long waited PPR finally came to me.

AOR : 09 Sep 2022
PPR : 30 Nov 2022

Started this Canadian journey in November 2019 and it took exactly 3 years to complete it.

It has been a hell of a ride, full of anxiety, anger and continous learning. Will never forgive nor forget the Liberals with their sudden decision to stop draws and rob 1 year and a half from my life, but hey, now its over.

As one of the last guys still remaining from the begining of this FSW Worldwide saga thread, I am really glad to see myself out. We have had numerous conversations and statistics done here that even IRCC would envy. Heck, they would hire us on the spot if they knew who we were.

To the ones still waiting for the golden email and ITA, I wish you all the best of luck.

Now, I will escort myself out and take care of the last steps to finally land in Canada as soon as possible.

Farewell and God bless !

wow ! congratulations boss!

Is there an expected draw on Wednesday?

I am wondering because I don't know if I should decline ITA. My police certificate is not there yet.

And I heard about glitches the last time so I don't really want to decline.

I would think long and hard about declining an ITA. With the TEER stuff and other changes looming, it's a big risk. Do you think you won't get your PCC in 60 days?
