I have just applied for Urgent PR card renewal. I just sent the paper application and marked URGENT.
Curious to know the timelines from start to finish right now.

I am travelling FEB 7th and am nervous I May not receive it before I travel. I have travel itinerary included along with medical reports of my family (parents)I am visiting. I have been trying to contact IRCC to get some questions answered, but they are not even picking up the calls right now.

Is there any alternate number I can contact? are there any walk-in offices I can visit in Ontario to get some clarifications?

Paper application is expected to deliver DEC 2nd sent it on priority.

Some people are getting it around 9 days from the time their application reached them. I guess they are just the luckier ones.
have you tried linking the application through GC Key portal? you can use UCI + Last name option and see if it pulls up anything.. You need to mention place of birth exactly as mentioned in your COPR.

First PR card received just now!

My timeline (Montreal):
Portal invitation - Sep 6th (address/photo submitted - both were "in review" until I received the PR card)
eCOPR - Sep 12th
ghost update - Nov 11th
GC key updated "approved and mailed out" - Nov 29th
PR card in mailbox - Dec 1 (80 days since eCOPR)

Thanks for the advice and good luck to you all!

The valid PR Card is really just a requirement for a commercial carrier (NOT a CBSA requirement, but strongly recommended).

One option would be to apply for a PRTD as soon as you enter the country that you are traveling to and hope that you receive it before your return flight to Canada.

Second option would be to return via the U.S., if you have a visa, but you would have to then re-enter Canada at a land PoE in a private vehicle, or by foot, to actually cross the border. Your expired PR Card would be accepted by CBSA, since they only need evidence that you are a PR of Canada...which an expired card would provide. Not the most convenient way to return, but...

Thank you,

Unfortunately, I am travelling to and from Canada to India on FEB 7th and returning by Feb 22 I am there only for 2 weeks and applying for PRTD may not be even possible within 2week.
I have attached the travel tickets and doctors note of my father being sick.

I do not hold a Visa to US and my flights are booked from Dubai to Canada. I am not even able to connect to the customer service number to talk to an agent and web form they don't even respond. this is so frustrating.

Really disappointing to see how they do not have any room for emergency cases and no possibility to contact an agent to explain your case. I live and work in Canada fulltime and have not visited India in 7 years.

Sending positive energy that you will have your card in plenty of time. That same energy extends to your father recovering, too! :)
