Background check still in process test marked as completed

I am sitting in this club since March 2022 when i passed my test,already 7 months, and still counting, my wife also in similar stage, she passed test in April 2022, for her almost 6 months wait time now.Both pending security clearance..
Whenever i call IRCC, we are waiting results from 3rd party (CSIS) for security clearance and can't say anything when they will complete checks.

We're in similar boat, Hi5.
Citizenship application submitted in March 2022, AOR 7th April 2022. (Family of 3, two of us with one minor)
My wife got invitation for Citizenship Test on June 12, test passed on June 28 and 2nd week of July everything changed to Completed except Oath. Application was moving so fast, and I was very hopeful that in few months we will be Canadian Citizens.
But I wasn't that lucky, instead of receiving Invitation for Citizenship Test, I received FP request on June 16, went to a private agency for FP submission on June 17, on July 6th they received my FP results from RCMP and since then "Cricket Sounds"..

Thanks for sharing! I am thinking to order one, did you find any of the two you ordered useful? Did they at least indicate if the clearance is completed or still in progress?

I completed my test in September, got a passport copies request at the same time and responded within a few days. It took until late January and into February for my background, prohibitions etc. to complete. So although background *tends* to be first completed it clearly doesn't necessarily go that way. My name is relatively common and I had a fair amount of travel (although only to 2 countries) so maybe that delayed the checks... who knows. The best explanation I've seen is that IRCC is only in control of test & language - physical presence, background and prohibitions require other orgs - so it's probably a good sign if they move ahead with test even while the other orgs are taking their sweet time.

Only one information, that it is still in progress. Don't see it much useful as same information was provided by IRCC agents.

Hi, I applied in March 2021. My BG check was completed on August 16 2021 and test completed on Sept 30 2021. Since then, I only received a ghost update recently on October 8 2022.

I want to know if my BG check is expired? On the tracker, it's still showing as completed.

Also, does the ghost update on October 8 mean anything that I might get DM soon?

no worries, if it would, they will re-check your bg. Did u receive any test invite?

Welcome to the club my friend. Exact same situation and was told the same. There are people here who's security clearance has been pending for 12 months after test. No hope at this point

Is security clearance the same as BG check?

Based on your case(bg completed), You may not getting enough help from folks here as they didn't see their bg completed before! You may start a new thread or try searching for a more relevant thread.

it is, only fingerprint expires. Bg check includes criminality and security.
