We're in similar boat, Hi5.
Citizenship application submitted in March 2022, AOR 7th April 2022. (Family of 3, two of us with one minor)
My wife got invitation for Citizenship Test on June 12, test passed on June 28 and 2nd week of July everything changed to Completed except Oath. Application was moving so fast, and I was very hopeful that in few months we will be Canadian Citizens.
But I wasn't that lucky, instead of receiving Invitation for Citizenship Test, I received FP request on June 16, went to a private agency for FP submission on June 17, on July 6th they received my FP results from RCMP and since then "Cricket Sounds"..

If CIC ask for any additional information, it means now our files are non routine category. My fingerprints received back in April and everything is in progress except test. Non routine files are totally on the sake of God. It depends upon the parties they they ask about additional information for background check. They can provide the information in 2 months or can take 2 years. no one knows............Patience is only tool. I am also waiting since August 2021 when I submit online and I do not have any hope that I will get my citizenship within 24 months time frame.

I feel like I am in the same boat as Inderjeet1539 ROCK ON MajdB RazaM. December 2021 applicant, location Brampton, FP received on September 14 by IRCC and complete silence afterward. Everything is in progress including the test. I have a very common name and my gut tells me that my case has been sent for security clearance.

There is one difference. In your case fingerprints were requested, which means the office processing your application got updated that the applicant needs to submit fingerprints. You did your part.

On the other hand, in my case neither fingerprints were requested , nor the background check was updated. Also nothing was requested.

My case is pretty similar. June 1st online applicant. Sep 9 2021 AOR. Test passed 11th Feb. Criminality passed and stuck in security clearance since then. No FP were requested. Got to know about security from GCMS.

Reading through the thread, there is no timeline for security check clearance turnaround. How do you ROCK ON and grapehair push for an update? I have ordered the GCMS notes which is taking 2 to 3 months nowadays

Hi, can you please let me know how to contact MP ?

Local constituency office ? Or ottawa office ?
I was seeing my MP has two offices mentioned on parl.gc ca website, one in ottawa and one constituency office.

I have never done this and also no clue how to approach for this, please help in this regard.

Thank you.

Just enter your postal address, you will find the MP and you can approach the MP by visiting their office or by calling them.

I stopped ordering GCMS notes now. Ordered GCMS twice (Both came eventually), and only update was that security is still pending and criminality was completed on Jan 27th, 2022. Only update i got on the second GCMS (Which i got in early July) was that my file was transferred over to Vancouver office. I stopped bothering about the citizenship process now. Got better things to do.

what is that?
Filing a case against IRCC through lawyer. You can search that word in this forum of Citizenship. You will be able to find a number of discussions. I came to know from here. This is my interpretation of this.

It is good to file it (usually costs around $800 to $1500 depending on the immigration lawyer you are using, there is one which some people have used and he charges $800, consideration should be given that the lawyer you are using, is experienced in filing these mandamus before) once your standard timeline has crossed which is nowadays, 24 months. So you are good beyond that limit. Once IRCC receives it, in 90% of the cases, they will wrap up the case if its getting delayed because of their negligence. If its something beyond them, even then they are bound to give you result.

I remember reading a case, where it was delayed for many many years like your case, then they went on to filing the case, and in that case, it went beyond filing mandamus alone. If IRCC doesn't expedite on mandamus, then i am not fully sure how the process goes, but what i know then the case proceeds to the next stage ultimately going to first hearing, each step of the process incorporates the cost of lawyer at your end. Only filing mandamus is around $800 to $1500. Each stage has its cost and when it is finally scheduled to be hard by judge then usually lawyers charge for each visit to court. But details you can discuss with lawyer you chose as how the process proceeds and charges associated with it.

So, in the case which i read, it went to hearing stage and IRCC came up with explanation that its with 3rd party, they are doing the clearance and IRCC is pending their results. But court gave decision that for client, its IRCC, doesn't matter which 3rd or 4th party which IRCC further incorporates, IRCC is responsible and should provide the result. And later, that guy's case was proceeded swiftly and he got citizenship.

What i understand very little bit about court system, once there is a decision, if next case is same, then the chances of positive decision is very high in next similar case. So, i hope so you will get your citizenship soon if you follow this path.
