I got my oath appointment - however i have to change it because I am out of the country. The email came today for an in-person oath in Mississauga on Nov 2.

I am a May 2020 applicant and finally got my passport today and I am so happy and relieved this chapter is finally over.
It took about 7 business days to get it delivered. This has been an incredibly long journey, but this group was very supportive. Thank you all and good luck to those waiting. It will happen!

So today was supposed to be my Oath ceremony, but Mississauga IRCC hasnt responded to me yet on the change of the date. I also sent a webform because the online portal was stuck on the loading page. Should i send another email to Mississauga?

If anyone has or had the background check in progress due to delay in Criminality section and Security Passed, and no fingerprint requested, please share your experience.

Sorry I have to post multiple times. 1 month after submitting documents for RQ-lite (CIT 0520; 2.5 yrs after application), everything is marked as Completed this morning! I joined the oath-waiting band!
My case is complicated: student->PR->self-employment->US & international travel. I sent them all the Walmart receipts, haha

They put my file on hold for 6 months! Can you believe that?

It does look like they were waiting for you to come back. Seems that IRCC doesn't like citizenship applicants being outside Canada, based on your and many other people's experiences, even though officially they will keep saying it doesn't matter.

I got my oath date again, its Dec 13. Woohoo!! I am so excited to finally get it.

Does anyone know how long the in-person oath takes? I am having mine in Mississauga.

Congrats! And that's great that you got an in-person oath and that this rescheduling happened timely. I'm not sure how long in-person oaths are taking, but online usually takes 2-3 hours and closer to 2 than 3.
