oh good question. I do have an official notice and they use the word 'denied'.

Here's the quote:
"
You were admitted as F-1 nonimmigrant on ________. A review of Department of Homeland
Security (DHS) records reveals that you departed the United States on _______, while your
change of status request was pending. This departure from the United States constitutes abandonment
of your request for change of nonimmigrant status
. Therefore, you are not eligible for the immigration
benefit being sought and your request to change status is denied. "
Sorry I've been away, and this has been discussed but in my personal opinion it was not a visa denial, and I would have answered those questions as No. The sentence in bold clearly states they consider the application as withdrawn / abandoned. But do what makes you feel comfortable.

First of all, since we were talking about CRS points, my first remark was about points.
Meaning, how do you reward the same amount of points regardless of where and at which university someone has completed their Bachelor/Master/PhD degree ? In some countries even the infrastructure to go to the university is broken, let alone the quality of the degree acquired.

Secondly, you are confusing value with equivalency. Refer to my statement again.
So, you are telling me that just because you have done exactly the same courses as you would have done in a university in Canada, your degree is somehow at the same level with all other universities around the world and that of Canada ? Its like saying Iphone and Nokia have the same value because both of them are phones and have cameras, bluetooth, WiFi, etc.

Would you care to give your opinion on why is Harward renowned one of the TOP universitites in the world or Oxford if you like, and we can start our discussion from there.
Generally, I won't get into discussions like this but let me say something. IF someone is from Harvard and they think they are a big shot then they wouldn't be wandering around on these forums crying for an ITA. If they are big shot as they claim they have many other ways of immigrating to many countries. I mean if they are so unique companies in Canada should be lining up to do a LMIA for them. But if that's not happening then it doesn't matter the person is from Lambda college, Harvard or Oxford. One's worth is determined by the market.

My suggestion if anyone on here is from Harvard and is crying for CRS score would be stop being a cry baby. If you think Harvard made you better than others find a company and prove it to them and get a LMIA get those CEC points.

No worries. I'm putting in a yes, and attaching the notice with my appllication. They can look at it and figure out it was a withdrawal and not a refusal. Better safe than sorry

The last time, FSW backlog was at 12,000 end of August and CEC I think close to 5,000. These numbers are together with the new applications from July and forward.

Did you apply as CEC of FSW ? I think by the end of this year all the FSW in the backlog will be processed, but CEC I don't know.

Their target quota for 2022 is 55,900 with a high range of 64,000.
I was FSW, AOR July 2020. But my situation changed a lot and had to update many things. That's why my case is probably a bit complex. Still, I feel like they're not really working on my case.

Hi guys,
I am wondering if I received the GU3 yesterday or not ...

I logged this morning on my GC account and it showed (application updated) but the backgroung check "in progress" (relative to GU2) did not change ....

I am a bit worried.... I am thinking , maybe my application was updated but something did not pass on the background check part (maybe security screening? and that's why it did not change?!!

Do you have any idea about this situation?

My timeline :
AOR : 27th August
GU1 : 29 Sept
BIL submission 3rd october
GU2: 6th october (eligbility passed)
GU3 ??? 24 October ?

Any inpuut would help..

Hi Guys, Couple of Questions :)

A) I did upfront medicals for myself (DEC2021 for an old application) and my Spouse (AUG 2022 after ITA).

Since my medicals will be expiring end of this year and my application is probably isn't going to be finalized by then. Should I get medicals done again or wait for them to ask for re-meds? I was thinking to get them done now to avoid any delays? What you guys suggest?

B) I was in Australia when I got AOR and now I'm in India for travel purposes for few weeks but since my work is remote, I might stay here for couple of more months or 6 months maybe! Should I inform IRCC about address change? My Australian address is still valid and I'll be going back there once finished it's just I'm not sure yet I'm on holidays or moved here for a while :p

In some cases, IRCC may extend medicals so you can wait to see if that will happen in your case. You can save on the medical cost.

It doesn't matter really. If you do get PPR you can submit passport in India

Hi Guys question on travel history part in EE application , the website won’t accept my travel history which is about 100 records and throws error. It says can not add more than 5 records. Anyone experienced this issue recently ? Is this limited to 5 records only as I saw some posts where it said possible to add up to 50 records. Please suggest how to solve this. Really getting worried due to this last minute problem.

For applications: what to do if letter written by a supervisor doesn't match what's on ROE? For example, a contract was for specific dates (mentioned in the letter and in letter of employment) but ROE gives different dates for first day worked and last day paid? What to mention in the profile?

I filled this part in a few days ago and I could add around 40 entries, so it's definitely not limited to 5. I suppose there likely is some limit. I remember seeing somewhere suggestion that you can add remaining entries as a table in your LoE and explain that you kept getting an error.

  1. Should I wait for IELTS TRF ? Online result received today(L8.5,R9,S6.5,W6) ? Updating IELTS result will led my CRS score to 501 from 484. As tommorw will be a draw.
  2. Should I remove my canadian work exp. that doesn't add any points in my CRS score? As I switched my current job in last July, which is not adding any points in my profile. However my previoius job was in Quebec(Working from Ontario), current is in Ontatio, so hasitating to remove the ontario one as that required in CEC to leave outside to quebec.
    1. I found some answer that suggests me to remove now and declare it after ITA in the personal history.
