Could someone help me understand the probability of each step of the PNP job offer nominee immigration for workers abroad? Much appreciated.

How likely is a Canadian employer really needs to hire an average software engineer abroad?

Let's assume that I have a job offer. Then I believe the next step I will need to apply for a work visa with employer sponsorship. How long will it take? Then I will apply for a PNP nomination. How long will this take? Then I will apply for EE via PNP. How long will this take? During the process, I doubt the employer will simply wait for me onboard.

Say then If I successfully landed in a province, how long do I still need to work for the same employer? Do I have to be employed in that province? How long do I need to stay in that Province before I move to another Province?

A job offer doesn’t allow you to apply for a work visa. You will need a LMIA. You need a job offer and your employer needs to file for and pay $1k for a LMIA. The LMIA shows that no Canadian or PR could be hired, only you. Then with LMIA, you apply for a closed work permit. Few employers go through the process as it is long. For your NOC it is possible.

You really need to research each provincial program as each has different requirements. You also need to research Express Entry. What PNP program are you eligible for? Not all PNP programs are through EE. What is your score based on your age, education (ECA), language test and skilled work experience.

PNP processing takes about 2 years. If you are asking about how quickly you can move then don’t select a province you don’t want to settle in.
