Jan 30 2022 application. Had my test window from Oct 3 to 23 starting 12AM EST. I could not resist and completed the test, passed. However my time is at little past 10 on Oct 02 (due to different timezone within Canada) which technically is within the provided window on the invite. Hopefully that wont be an issue.

My test has been updated online as completed. Within 36 hrs.

Why are you given only a ten day window to complete your test? I thought it's always a 21 day window.

Interesting that some people have their BG check completed before receiving the test invite and others have it the other way around. Wonder why that is.

My guess is, some are asked to provide Finger Prints, while in parallel the Test also is in Progress.
For others whose Finger Prints were not asked, BG was completed and in parallel the Test is also in progress.

So, Id say each applicant is different in its own way. and then also would highly depend on the Officer looking into respective case.

I think it used to be always after BG complete. It's more of a recent thing (I believe it started in early 2022). As far as I recall it happens primarily with spouses where one is BG complete and the other is asked FP but it's possible they're doing thisin other scenarios as well.

Interesting. In my case I just got the test invite but my BG is not marked as completed. I’m a single applicant and haven’t been asked for fingerprints.

It seems like they realized BG doesnt have to wait for the test (since vast majority clear the BG/FP check without any issues). Apparently they're doing things in parallel which is good. This also seems to be office-specific.

hahaha my bad! i was sleepy and half excited when i was typing this AM. should be oct 11-nov 1

Took test today passed 20/20 . But as soon as i signed into my application tracking it now says FP request on 3rd Oct and also mentions email has been sent but i haven't received any email for FP. is this normal? Thanks
