Hello folks,

During payment I wasn't asked to pay biometric fees (85 dollars). I've only paid the 1365dollars. Why haven't they asked for biometric?

Is it because I mentioned that I had provided B.I in 2019 for a visitor visa?

In this case, isn't temporary residence biometric different ? I've read this in Canada website, it says "even if you have gave biometric information for a temporary residence lately, you will be asked to provide them again if you apply for a PR", have they changed it?

Any insight would be appreciated.

Biometrics are valid for 10 years, I have used mine done in 2016 for Visitor visa, IEC and PR application. If they're not asking for new, it means they have already accepted old one.

This exactly. Immigrants are the worst enemy of immigrants. That's just how things are.

And this is visible on another facets here. Try asking for an immigrant for some kind of help related to jobs, especially the ones who get jobs relatively quicker in Canada. Suddenly they feel like they are superior and were exceptional cases to get jobs so soon and would give any kind of advice to people who weren't lucky to land jobs.

People suddenly feel all the immigrants coming after them aren't as good as they were / are.

Suddenly they feel like they are superior and were exceptional cases to get jobs so soon and would give any kind of advice to people who weren't lucky to land jobs.

Sad but true, I attribute it to a scarcity mindset. Let's hope we won't have the same affliction...

So in EE form: Study and languages, I have only mentioned about my one year post grad Diploma, as I'm claiming points for only "One-year program at a university, college, trade or technical school, or other institute" and not for my bachelors( 3yr+ Program) as WES had issues verifying information with my bachelors school lately, so I just applied for my post grad evaluation only with wes and went with one year program points only.

Will it effect my application at all?

I dont think so, I'm in the pool right now with an ECA WES only on my masters not on my bachelors.

You may not require since you already gave for temporary residence.

Yeah apartment search in GTA is a humbling and humiliating experience. I think they asked more documentation than IRCC asked while giving PR.

But from what I have learnt here is that tenants have a lot of rights. The law is actually more favorable to tenants and if someone stops paying rent the owner can't just kick them out and it is a very long process and it takes 8-10 months to get an eviction order. And I also heard from someone (so not sure how true this is) that some people do it as a career. There are "professional renters". They take houses on rent and stop paying rent and then owner's pay them to leave their place. And guess these folks have no trouble in finding places to rent.

This is true. But I feel like there is also an overcompensation aspect to it. Immigration now is certainly more difficult than it was 3 years ago. So people from three years ago (close to citizenship now) don't want to feel like they got in only because it was easier (even though based on numbers, that is absolutely true).

In the same vein, immigration 3 years from now will no doubt be mroe selective and difficult than it is today. Rinse and repeat the process of anti immigrant sentiment amongst older immigrants

i will also include a 6 months bank statement which also shows no movement in my balance at all, the money is sitting there since last year

If you can, get a customised letter from the bank and ask them to mention that you don't have loans or pendin credit card bills. I did this for my application.

I would strongly recommend you to get a new PCC for India. The old PCC doesnt not cover your last exit from India and hence possibility of rejection
