Permanent Resident Card Delay

Hello Everyone

My wife landed in Canada under the Family Sponsorship Class in March, 2022.
Landing was smooth, all info approved and we were cleared to enter Canada. I am a Permanent Resident Since July 2018.

In May, we received an email from IRCC saying the photos sent with the application did not match the specifications for the PR Card.
This was sent under a new application number.
We immediately got another set of photos clicked and sent them back and we confirmed they were received at the Sydney processing Center in a couple days.

A month after, we heard nothing so we opened a webform.
A month after that, we got a response that the photos were not in their system and were not receieved.

I have sent them a webform letting them know the photos were indeed receieved and confirmed from Canada post with delivery confirmation.
Now Waiting again -

Has anyone been in a similar position and know what to do?

Please and thanks.

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
I hate to say it, but...IRCC/CIC is ALWAYS right...even when they are NOT.

If they can't find the photos, they can't find the photos, right? They're probably `somewhere' in their facility, but I suggest you have new photos taken and see if you can upload them, rather than sending them again. People that apply for their PR card renewal can do so online; maybe they will allow you to re-submit photos electronically?

Good luck!

I am in a worse situation. I landed in January 2022, then got an email in February 2022 that the photos did not meet specifications. I sent a new set of photos and heard nothing until I contacted them in May 2022. They then told me the new photos doesn't still meet specifications. I've resent another set of photos since June 27 and still waiting. These guys are just incompetent and lackadaisical to say the least

So to update this.
We just received my wife's PR card.
And it literally took 180 days like they said at landing time.

I have heard that the photos request was sent to many people in error.
Hopefully this helps.
