oops, my bad .. missed the link you shared

The answer is still No my friend. it should be permanent address.
Thank you for your reply. Last query before I close this, do I need to still mention permanent address (where I lived or living) even vacation is for 1-2 months?

My background check status changed back to "In progress" again. It was completed but again changed to "In progress". Does anyone experienced this before? Is this a sign of something?

I think you need to calm down a bit. The first thing every adult learns is life isn't fair and your claim to fairness is dubious at best otherwise how can you demand your 6-7 months old application be processed when there are applicants from 2018/2019 still waiting in line.

Also, if everyone deactivates their account after getting their citizenship without helping others still navigating the process that would undermine the entire purpose of this forum.

Everyone that has undergone the myriads of IRCC immigration processes (PR, Spousal Sponsorship, WP, Citizenship) knows how frustrating it can be and that is why people preach patience because there is not much recourse otherwise.

Good luck and hope you get some news soon.
Thanks for the feedback. I think your condescension is irrelevant and I am very much entitled to call unfairness when there’s paper proof that applications are not treated equally, regardless of how advanced mine is in the process. I’ve done Express Entry, Spousal Sponsorship and now Citizenship, and thus I’m well aware that these things take time. But again it’s not about timing but about the way in which applications are being prioritized. I thought I had made myself very clear on this.

Furthermore, nobody is asking phoenix to disappear from the forum, I specifically referred to our conversation which I literally classified as a non-issue.

Fortunately we don’t have to agree with each other on any of the above. Good luck to you too.

Just like @americanidiot said...I was merely joking about it hahah....but still, the biased way of processing application based on paper/eapp, that's my freaking point. I don't mind we all wait in line, and let the poor people who submitted their applications in 2019 get processed first..but let's hope we can get something in the july and see what happens

I agree on the fact that there seems to be no fairness or LOGIC in how IRCC processes these applications... Why is a paper application submitted in Jan 2022 getting to the finish line, while standard routine online applicants from July to Nov 2021 haven't even made any progress at all. Where is the logic and sense in this?

I can't even imagine how it must feel for people from 2019/2020 who haven't got their status yet, but I would hope these are just some complicated edge cases and not routine applications... As that would be even more unfair towards them.

Hi All,
I received the exam invitation today but I am out of Canada.
do I need to send an email only with the subject line "Outside Canada"?

My wife and I used the same email address while submitting the applications. Is it ok to send the Outside Canada email from the same email address?

Hey everybody.

I assume filing application online was not the smartest idea?)
Submitted it Nov 9, got AOR Feb 2-3 - me and my partner applied separately.
Next day it was updated and since then - nothing except "In progress".

Is it normal timeframe for online appllicants? is it really closer to 2 years these days?

Thanks.

I wouldn't say "not the smartest idea", but online applications are not being treated fairly in comparison to paper, i.e. online is much slower and paper is moving fast.

Here is the tracker, you can see how you stack up: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/u/0/d/1iXCMs0mYtJZwYTTIH3LDmHK1tgK7yqAgQ5Jfyxv7BEI/htmlview?pli=1&pru=AAABgU5Hx5Q*DWJGs4G2Os_55bnDEwXWpA#

Called IRCC for the first time today, wanted to verify that they changed my address on file cause I sent a web form when I moved in December, but the GCMS notes showed my old address. Turns out they added my new address and kept the old one for some reason. I asked them to remove it. And for some other reason, they had my old phone number from my express entry days. Also asked them to remove it.
I asked about my application status while I was at it. He said there’s nothing new, I won’t get test invitation until my background check is complete. He said that the application can take up to 27 months to finalize  thanked him and ended the phone call.
