My Update

Oath Status in progress - June 8, 2022.

Oath Ceremony scheduled for June 21, 2022.

Based on the very few postings here in the last few weeks, it seems CIC is not doing much at the moment.

It will be one year in July that I completed my citizenship test and I am still waiting for decision made. Montreal office.

Same here.
What steps have you taken so far to try and get some info ?
Like contacting MP, GCMS etc.

Over 9 months now. I'm going to lose my mind here. I already waited so long to join the Airforce.
Air force?! That's so cool!

Hi all!
I gave my interview from outside Canada on 13/06/2022 and it went well. The agent said if I wanted to take oath from abroad I will have to submit proof and she provided me an email address to send the proof and explanation to for them to make the decision.
today I checked my tracker and it says oath has been scheduled for July 4th
What I’m wondering is this: should I continue down this road or just take a flight and come home for this? My PR card expires in August so that’s why I’m worried.
I also checked online and flights and hotels/airbnbs are over $10,000 so that’s also a factor here.

Hello fellow September 2020 applicants! I finally have my Canadian passport in hand!

I am already on the spreadsheet but here is my detailed timeline from start to finish:

Office: Montreal, QC
Application Type: Single
Application Sent: September 10, 2020
Application Received: September 15, 2020
AOR: December 8, 2020
Background Check: March 19, 2021
Citizenship Test Invite: July 12, 2021
Citizenship Test Passed: August 4, 2021
Citizenship test marked as completed: August 5, 2021
Passport Request: Not requested
DM(Language/Physical Presence/Prohibition Completed): January 31, 2022
Oath status updated on: March 15, 2022
Oath email instructions: March 28, 2022
Oath: April 4, 2022
Oath set to completed and file closed on: April 8, 2022
Citizenship certificate received on: April 14, 2022

As for the passport, I had booked an appointment the day after I received my citizenship certificate. The appointment was on June 2, 2022 at a passport office. It took me a total of 2 hours from arriving at the passport office to submitting everything. I received the passport on June 14, 2022 by mail. It took a total of 8 business days...which is not bad!
At first I thought of sending my passport application by mail, but the longgg waiting times were a bit terrifying! So I waited almost 1.5 months for my in-person appointment instead of sending it by mail.

Best wishes to all those who are still waiting.
