There is no proof that H&C applicants are being denied due to people arriving from Ukraine. Approving anyone already in Canada is also not a good policy or else what would be the point of Canada’s various immigration programs if all you had to do is get to Canada and you’d be approved.

All the “Canada’s various immigration programs” were there along side H&C mostly for people already in Canada who had exhausted all other means to serve as a last resort.
I do not know who you are but you sound like those immigrants who does not want other immigrants in this country.
Good news is that the decision is not in your hands.
Many of us got PR through H&C and many more will get.

First of all, you know nothing about our case
Second of all, you know nothing about the legal aid office we have dealt with.
Third of all, you know nothing about the lawyer we are talking to.
Fourth of all, you know nothing about other department in legal aid, you are with immigration office, we are not.
Fifth of all, the legal aid is not govenment department, they accept clients and get paid by government.
Sixeth of all, you know nothing about how they fucked up our case by "free service".
If the legal aid is so helpful to us, why would I paid private lawyer to do our case?? Because i am loaded and there is nothing more important i can splurge on??

When it comes to legal aid lawyers it doesn’t necessarily have to do with work ethic. It’s unfair to say that you expect legal aid lawyers to work for free beyond the amount they are being paid by the government while private lawyers can work unlimited amount of hours because they just charge their clients for more billable hours. Yes there are both good and bad lawyers in the private sector and legal aid but yes if you are getting a free lawyer you may not get every email or call responded to if it is not deemed urgent to the success of your application. Would add the it is also unrealistic to allow all legal aid lawyers to have unlimited billable hours for their legal aid cases because the budget for legal aid would expand dramatically and the majority of Canadian tax payers who have to pay for their own legal representation would complain.

You can applaud, cheer, or even scream on knees. Do whatever you want, but force someone else to do the same? Thats called being a "control freak".

processing time was shorten to 15 months, but in real life the non-ukraine cases probably will wait longer than before. Since Feb, there were 2 members from this forum got refused but waiting over 2 years. A horror movie to me, over 24 months for stage one plus a negative outcome.

This is too deep to understand for many but truth be told if you get to understand how most systems work you will be enlightened.
Always work hard at beating the system or let God/Allah guide you.

Without refugees there won't be a refugee system. Without war/femine/violence there won't be refugees.

Unfortunately some are taking advantage of the opportunity but who cares if you are lucky to get through by convincing IRCC.

I wish Canada would pick a leaf from some countries like (UAE) everyone is welcomed into the country ........you need to get a job so as to get a sponsor for your residence rather than have people come in spend 4+yrs chasing residency.
People pay alot for lawyers with hope of becoming PR/citizens. Why not let people spend that money on paying for their own residency like every 2yrs

1. support letter from friends and family
2. Landlord support letter
3. Support letter for doctors and teachers if you can
4. Job offer letter or co-worker supervisor or manager support if you can
5. Voluntary work’ Community service, church or masjid anything positive
6. hydro bill phone bill or bank statement it shows you live here

So far only 2% Ukrainian citizen apply for H&c
But the government promise 200,000 Ukraine temporary residency status

it will impact all immigration system it’s not only H&c they slow down refugee form third World country or temporary work and also students it will impact after end of July if the war didn’t finish by that time
