I totally agree with @wello711. Two of my friends moved midway into their H&C and were approved. H&C is Federal application. In AIP, they will tell you ‘we will continue to process your application if Quebec does not approve your CSQ provided you move to another province’ In my opinion patience...

@Ivy.998 you get that response when application is no longer in process. Check status online or contact your lawyer if you have one. If not check your email. Best of luck

Both 1st and 2nd stages are processed by federal. After AIP, federal will advise Quebec to process your CSQ. Wait time for CSQ is now long. Also you will need to send in your 2nd stage documents to federal and take medicals in required within 7 days of receiving AIP. Staying or moving from one...

I do my part leaving no stone unturned and pray for God to perfect it. I believe in God who can do all things. I also believe in miracles. You cannot get PR portal without a well packaged H&C application. You must do your part and leave the rest the God. Good luck my friends.

Mine was a long time ago. Things are different now. Generally wait times are different from one case to another. Be patient. The worst is over. Very soon you will receive email for PR portal. Just stay positive and good luck.

@helpme1, you should get a good lawyer to put in a Federal Appeal. A very strong appeal takes time to conclude. That way you can buy time.

@annamanjk, congratulations on getting approval as a protected person. In my opinion, applying for PR as a protected person is the best option. That way, you are sure of your PR being approved for as long as there are no criminal or serious health issues. While for H&C, it’s a game of chance...

@annamanjk, If your RAD has been approved, the best is to withdraw the H&C and apply for PR directly. You cannot leave the know for unknown. Congratulations for a successful RAD. That is something great. Thumbs up to the lawyer.

You should update your file with the marriage certificate. Also send updates like pay stubs, proof of savings, volunteering, kids results and school activities if applicable. That was what my friend did when she got married to a PR. She got AIP last month. Wishing you best of luck.
