Hi All,

I checked online, and it says Oath Ceremony has been scheduled in early April. I don't see any emails, and the status is only updated on the website. Is there a delay in email or am I supposed to reach out and confirm?
That is soooo depressing. our entire life is on hold for another year...

Now the IRCC does not even need any excuses to delay applications because their website says 27 months instead of 12!

Are you guys planning to leave when you get your passport? I feel like Canada is getting ridiculous, so many job applications, zero response pretty much. Or maybe the army? I hear they are hiring a lot, is it smth viable? What do you guys think?
Yep that's the plan- move to the US on L1A as soon as we get the passport. You don't need an interview for L1A if you hold a Canadian passport.

So I called IRCC today and they all seem to have this new talk track that applications will now take 27 months - I replied that processing timelines only came into effect yesterday and they were like it’s the new timelines going forward.

Bottom line- they’re as clueless as we are.

When you call the IRCC, you are simply calling front line customer service agents who do not process the applications.

Covid, Afghanistan, Ukraine, etc. Now it is this new processing standard.

Hello folks! Anyone here got two ghost updates and nothing happened for a month.. I'm starting to be concerned. I called them and they said I just have to wait (of course).
Online Application: July 7, 2021
AOR: Oct 5, 2021
Ghost update 1: 28 Feb, 2022
Ghost update 2: March 1, 2022

I had a ghost update then nothing for 3 months and then BGC changed to "complete". So I think no need to be concerned. I think Ghost updates merely imply that someone opened your file to work on it.
