Seeking information about entry to Canada and TRV for US citizen

Hello All,



I need your help as there is not much information regarding my current situation.

I’m a Canadian PR, and My fiancé is a US citizen (with Indian OCI, living in India for many years). We are getting married next month and planning to fly together to Canada. Her company is currently processing the work permit, and she’s yet to receive it.



My questions are,

1. Since she’s a US citizen,can she travel to Canada without a Visa?
2. If she can travel, can we apply for TRV from Canada with the work permit issued from India? Or should she only apply from India?

1. Yes she can travel to Canada without applying for a TRV. She may be asked about why she is visiting Canada and whether she has a job in the US or India, home in the US/India, how much funds she has access to, etc. when determining whether she can enter Canada and how long she can visit.
2. Has her employer received an LMIA or is the job LMIA exempt?
