I am an Indian citizen, studying in the US on an F-1 visa. I am planning to visit my girlfriend in Canada, where she is also a student. She is also from India, and stays on a 2 year study visa. I came to the US in August 2016, and she to Canada in December 2016. In January 2017, I applied for a TRV as a tourist, and was issued one. However, the validity of it was until March, so I visited her for a week before the expiry of the TRV. Now, I want to apply for a visa again, but I am not sure if I should apply for a TRV as a tourist or should I ask her for a letter of invitation?
I have a consistent source of funding, and I can support my stay in Canada. However, I do not have any travel history other than my previous visit to Canada.
I will highly appreciate any help regarding the matter.
