We saw our first snowfall for 2012 in Vancouver yesterday!!! It snowed like crazy again last night.. Traffic is insane!! :-\. I'm all wrapped up again!

Since I never had it, I was always wondering, what a man would be like just standing in -55 windy condition for 1min ? :

Be happy you have never had it. You better be wrapped in layers and layers with little skin showing, and you better hope you can stand up in the wind! Trust me its not fun and you will wanna be moving to get somewhere warm as fast as you can!!!

It's been snowing non-stop in the lower mainland since last night!!! Tonnes of them! Holy Moly!!!

In the Province of Ontario, my city got the most dumped on us! 33 CM and at LEAST 5-10 more to come... My poor little dog HATES it, he doesn't like it when he goes to the bathroom and his butt touches snow haha

We just had our first big snowfall in the Durham Region and my husband went tobogganing for the first time. I will never forget it. We had so much fun and the expression on his face as he went zooming down the hill was awesome. My two year old loved it too!

Me, I'm looking forward to getting my PR so that I can start enjoying milder, more temperate winters. This sub-zero (Fahrenheit) cold is starting to get old.

Last time I was in Alberta, they had temperatures below 20C and people were taking walks As much as I wanted to go shopping, I couldn't bear the cold and a couple of minutes to walk from the car to the store seemed an eternity! I dreaded every time I had to get out of the car. So I am not going for a visit again until end of March when it's milder. Yes it was that bad :-\

I dreaded every time I had to get out of the car. So I am not going for a visit again until end of March when it's milder. Yes it was that bad :-\

I know a couple - the husband is Canadian, and the wife is Fillipino. They have two huge houses - one in BC, one in Cebu Island (with views to die for, a nice swimming pool/jacuzzi literally facing the ocean). They go there to escape the BC winter.. which is mild compared to the rest of Canada, but is very gloomy compared to Cebu island.

BC winters look pretty good, viewed from here in Minnesota. We set our champagne out in the attached garage on New Year's Eve; poured thick slushies at midnight.

I'm good until about -15. Then my eyelashes start to freeze together.

I actually open my windows at -2 so my cat can sniff the outside air for a few minutes.
