Guys I got an e-mail from CIC saying: "Your application has been updated"

What does that means as I don't see any updates ? It still says "open"...

You won't see the actual updates on your CIC account. It's just a notification email letting you know that its been updated.

Did you send something new to them recently?

Thank you for your reply.

I didn't. I've applied on March 22 and got the confirmation of submission letter on March 23rd. But today it was the first e-mail with that "update" notice.

I was kinda hoping to get a new message saying that my application just started its processing. It might be that?

Did you send you medical with your application, probably they update your medical status.

no. as it is optional I haven't. I'm from an exempt country (Portugal, Europe)

I got that message several times when I applied for study permit extension. But I didn't notice any update until several days after it was finally approved.

Hey, I applied my study permit on 3/19, got an message for my application number on the same day, then get the same email as u ( your application has been updated ) twice, one on 3/20 and one on 3/27.

I hope will get positive results soon

Guys i applied on thursday 27th and its monday night.
What you think the decision will be?
This quick revert of passport is making me scared. Is it a sign of approval or refused.

I am guessing it probably got dispatched from the VAC office to the embassy. I doubt they could make a decision that quickly since you didn't apply online but through a VAC. Even online applications from visa exempt countries don't get processed that quickly.

No tht was d previous update that my passport has been recieved by the CHC chandigarh.
Now it has been dispatched from the embassy.

I applied via inscol. Their student visa results are 95% positive. Whr did u applied? Wats ur profile
