Hi
Trying my best to stay in the country after my planned common-law sponsorhip relationship
didn't work out. Just got contacted by a job wanting to hire me as a supervisor so that I can apply
for a Young professional visa.
I have some questions regarding this as I have mostly read about Lmias and just recently found out about YP.
1. How long is the process time (usually) from setting up an account until I can work?
(I am currently on a visitor visa so can not work until I have this)
2. I know its work specific, but if my business has other stores (like Mc donalds) would I be able to move from one to another?
3. Am i able to extend this visa? I know I can only apply for IEC twice and I have already applied for a WH a few years ago.
4. If not, how do I go about working towards Pr after this? haha.

Any other help is valued as well!
Thanks

1. Depends which country you're from.
2. I believe the job is location specific - however hopefully someone else will be able to confirm.
3. You can't extend an IEC. Your employer would need to obtain an approved LMIA so that you can apply for a closed work permit.
4. You'll need to research Canada's economic immigration programs (Express Entry / FSW, CEC, Provincial Nominee Programs) to see what it takes to apply and if you qualify. Detailed information here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/apply.asp

In that case you should be selected from the pool relatively quickly after submitting your profile. Once you submit the application itself - you're looking at around 2 months of processing time.

Is it a McDonald's type of situation? If so, make sure the job fits the criteria of the YP program. Does the job specifically contribute to your professional development? Is it in a field that you've worked in before and/or been educated?

Its a supervisor position in a Food and Beverage store/restaurant and pretty much all I have worked in is food and beverage (the past 7 years). And have supervised for a year. Haven't studied anything in the field tho.
What are the criterias?
