Thanks to all my friends on this forum.
I made it through the darkness of the night. Yesterday I got the visa as well as my landing document.
I am grateful to God and to all my friends here without whom I will not be able to make it.
I truly believe that it is difficult to wait but remember that at the end, the rewards are greater than the pain you suffered from the waiting period.
If you are on the waiting list, keep your chin up and be happy. Enjoy fully any day that God gives you, with a sense of gratitude happing that the good news will come from CIC.

Well i got a letter last week saying that my name has been put in the queue list waiting for interview call now...can u tell me what is the avg time they call you for interview after this letter??

Well, in my case I received a phone call a week prior to the interview and I was asked if I will not be able to make it to NY. I was at Keystone presenting the results of my research works so my answer was negative. During the conversation I was told that if I refused to go for the interview that time I have to wait for another six months.
One week later, I got another phone call asking me if I will be able to make it in three weeks time. I asked for how long they are going to be in NY and got they program and the letter of invitation to the interview by email. The lady was nice and allows me to select my own date and hour. Last day of the interview was Friday and I decided to be the last one on their list (Friday May first 2009 at 3pm).
No worries, the whole idea behind the interview is to make sure that your are really committed to migrate to Quebec and that you are ready for any difficulties that you may face there. They will also go through your papers and you have to show them the originals. No biggy my friend! You are going to be okay and we will celebrate your CSQ.

Suggestions: Dear friend please kindly consider the following points before apply:
1. Migrate to other country is always one of the biggest projects (challenges) in our live so early on, make sure that you really want to do this and nothing can stop you to get where you want to be.
2. Please, take your times to read instructions and follow them as indicated on the CIC home page.
3. We have a lot of wonderful friends here, ready to assist and encourage you through the procedure: Some are like lawyers who know everything about the immigration procedure. You will find that some are better than lawyers. Others are here just to guide and support your project in your difficult times when you are down emotionally. They know what you want and they will give it to you when you need it, you just have to ask for it.
4. Once you start the procedure and you get the chance to visit this forum, I warranty you that all the forces that you need to get to your destination are behind you ready to see you with your visa. In that particular moment, I will encourage you not to withdraw your application. Please, follow the procedure until the end, if major problem surfaced; ask for help on this forum before taking any kind of action. You will be amazed how friends are ready to assist you and the better part is for free.
5. Apply, withdraw and reapply is possible but it complicates your application since you have to explain why you withdraw the first application and if the VO did not like your reasons you will end up with rejection or your case will take the painful “long waiting road”.
Remember that if you look inside your heart, there is a hero waiting for you to face difficulties and he will show you how in life there is no mountain that you cannot claim.
