I got my VISA on 12th July 2013. I got an E mail at 11.00 am from Citizenship and Immigration Canada.
I am replying to all FAQ's here.
When and where did you apply?
- Applied on 3rd July 2013 at VFS Chennai at 12pm.
When was your passport received at New Delhi?
- Passport was received at New Delhi on 4th July 2013.
Under Which Category did you apply?
-University Category.
Whats your Profile?
- Work Experience of 4+ years (4 years 2 months to be precise)
- B.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering (72% with 6 backlogs)
- XII with 82%
- X with 81%
Which University and which course?
- Memorial University of Newfoundland
- Master of Business Administration
Conditional or Unconditional offer letter?
- Unconditional Offer letter
What are the Documents you provided?
- All the Documents in the Checklist ( None of the Documents were Notarized )
- Took a GIC for 10000$ ( 10000$ + 100$ )
- Paid one full year fee at MUN for 4000$
- Three years IT returns of myself.
- Three years IT returns of parents.
- Mutual fund deposits of 6 lakhs
- Savings Accounts of 5 lakhs
- Some Insurance policies and PF Documents worth 4 lakhs.
Did you attach a SOP as well?
- Yes, I attached a one and a half page SOP.
Did you receive any Verification call?
- No.
( This is the funny part: I attended calls from all numbers, so many scam calls and so many promotion and advertising calls. I used to get alerted every time I got a call )

Wow. i have read its a very beautiful and a very very cold place hehe.. Better take lots and lots of warm clothes. Even the summers are quite chilly there . All the best
