Hi all,
I'm sponsoring my spouse (outland) and our application is currently in Manila. I normally login to ECAS using my name and birth date and all looked normal. Today, I logged in using our file number, my spouse's last name and birth date. The home address shows her residence in Japan, but the mailing address is completely wrong. It's an address in Vancouver that neither of us have ever seen before. When my spouse came to Toronto to visit me she was questioned by a CBSA officer about visiting someone in Vancouver, asked if she had applied for a work permit and was naming people who we've never heard of before. We've never been to Vancouver together and definitely didn't apply for a work permit. The officer told my spouse that she was looking directly at our file in GCMS.
Now, after seeing my spouse's page in ECAS something really doesn't seem right. I'm assuming this is some sort of mix up on CIC's part.
Does anyone have any idea if this will cause problems with our PR application? So far it shows the standard 3 lines (application received June 1, started processing Aug 4, medical results received).
Thanks very much.
