After receiving the letter approving my eligibility to sponsor my wife into Canada from CIC Mississauga, I noticed two potential problems with the information given.
First, my and my wife’s middle names were both misspelled by dropping the last letter (for example, “Michae” instead of “Michael”). Is this just a typo or at all cause for concern?
Secondly, the letter also stated that the original copy of form IMM 1017 (Medical form) was missing from our application, and therefore our application was considered to be incomplete. Now we are 100% certain that we included the original of form IMM 1017 in our application package sent to CIC Mississauga and now only possess a photocopy of this form. Are we missing something here? Is this “missing” form the medical check results (also form IMM 1017?) which the DMP, who conducted the medical check, sent directly to the visa office in question (New Delhi, specifically)? Is the IMM 1017 form we submitted just a receipt?
I’d be grateful is someone could put my mind at ease on either question.
Regards.
