Ηello....i am really worried.it has been more than two months that cic sent me e mail with my SA...since then we haven't heard anything...i have changed our address and yet in ecas I can see the old one...after how much time they open a file and they start to work on it?I suppose after 2months they should have started....do we have to worry about?maybe they lost our case? :(

You could be waiting another 6 months before you hear anything or 12 months . Check out your processing times that will give you a better idea.

Don't stress yourself out!!! They don't work on the applications in order that they received them and some cases get through faster than others. No one knows why for sure. I didn't hear anything for months from our Visa office and it was only when I emailed them that I did. They don't email out updates.

For months now, you've been posting about how worried you are, what can go wrong, latching on to anything you think could be a problem etc.

As many others have told you MANY times now, chill out. It's PERFECTLY NORMAL to not hear anything from CIC for many months.

They took well over two months (don't even remember how long) to update our address on ecas.

Relax!

Nina, you need to relax. Not just because of this post but I have seen you worry over every small detail (real or not) in your prior posts. I always thought of myself as someone who stressed out too much over small details during the application process... but you make me look like the most relaxed person ever.

This is a stressful process and it is hard to be patient but if you do not learn to relax, it will just give you a lot of angst. Your application is in CIC's hands. Now try to take your mind off it and enjoy life for a while!

And finally.. yes. After sponsor approval, it took 4 months before we (wife and I) heard another thing from CIC. It was 4 months of total silence (no mail, no e-mail, no eCAS update... nothing). And this is for a relative fast timeline of 7 months (total time for the sponsorship to be completed)

Yeah, we were the same in the first few months, but realized there's nothing to do to speed up the process. We were past the average 7 month process time for Hong Kong but my wife is from the Philippines originally, so we were told it's going to be more like 15 + months Manila process time. Now we're not so stressed nothings been done, because there was a reason for it.

I think you should reasonably expect your application processing time not to be completely standard (i.e. possibly take more time) since while you are a Canadian citizen, you have never lived in Canada and aren't living in Canada now. This means CIC will have to spend additional time processing your file to ensure they are convinced you have plans to move to Canada once your husband's PR is approved.

As others have said, you need to relax. This process is very largely out of your control and there's nothing you can do to speed it up. Also, there are no answers to most of the questions you are asking. Different applications take different amounts of time to process. That's the best answer any of us can give. It may be several more months before you hear anything. Again, it's out of your control.

As a canadian citizen, you have the ability to move to canada at anytime. you do not have to stay in Turkey. It is your CHOICE to stay there while your husband's application processes, so either make a different CHOICE or CHOOSE to stay in an unhealthy situation. I'd imagine if you, as the sponsor, made the choice to move back and get settled before your spouse joined you, it will overshadow some concerns that may pop up.

No matter what, you will be waiting until CIC starts processing the application and there's nothing that can be done about that. figure out how to accept it already because it's getting old!

[/quote.i don't want to go alone to Canada...our case is strange,we had relationship by far,I was in Greece he was in turkey, that's why we got married to make our life one...and we don't have family(father or mother)so he is the only for me in my life,I cant without him :'(.ww just thought to go to Greece but I think the procedure will become longer :'(don't know what to say,I am really getting crazy

Turkey is one of the best places to live in. I have been there several times and loved it each time.

You are exaggerating the situation! I have friends and family in Turkey who live a safe and happy life!
If I remember correct you live in Istanbul. I would understand your concern if you lived somewhere near the Syrian border…
Anyhow, playing this "I am in danger" game won't get you in the front of the line - CIC won't buy it so just give up. Just be patient and stay strong… When your turn comes your file will be processed. Check the Ankara spreadsheet and you will get a sense of when you can expect for an update.

hmmm, what kind of game are U talking about?who said U that I referee this to cic?because ur friends and ur family live nice in turkey it doesn't mean all people live the same way...if U live in the Asian side having money turkey is a nice place.if U live in a place like me U will not like believe me...and its too different to see a country from the option of turism...if U live there everything changes...why did U attack me like this?don't understand...and turkey soon will be in disaster, that's what I cam see....:(
