When working on implied status, does anyone know exactly is meant by same conditions? Is it the same employer, the same type of work, the same weekly hours, the same wage, all of the above?

Is this documented anywhere?

Thanks

Same conditions means you are allowed to stay and work in Canada under the
same conditions than your old/expired work permit.
If you had a closed work permit, bound to an employer you have to keep working there. If you
held an open work permit, you're on implied status under those conditions and not bound
to an employer or position.

Hope this helps.

Thank you, that does help somewhat. I'm on a closed permit and would be continuing with the same employer, but we are looking to alter the hours and pay outlined in the original letter of offer. Would that be ok?

As long as you keep working for the same employer, and the same position and everything mentioned in
your work permit, it would be OK I guess.
To verify you could call the CIC call center and see what they have to say. From inside Canada under 1-888-242‑2100 ( http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/contacts/call.asp )
And here's some information about implied status from the CIC website: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?q=188&t=17
