I recently applied for the Ontario Human capital priories program. I wanted to know if any one with work experience in the financial services or the banking industry recently landed in Canada ? How's the job market ? is it difficult to secure a job opportunity ?

Getting a job in bank is not super hard.
All you need is some sales experience and lisence to sell mutual funds.
The employee turn around time is pretty quick in banking

Thanks , Are you currently working in the financial services industry ? I heard that you need a very strong network to secure your career in Canada , is this true ?

Initially everyone needs some kind of Canadian experience to gain references.
And network helps every where.

But the fundamentals of attaining a job is similar in every country.
Initially hard but not impossible.

This isn't true.

I've been slightly put off after hearing everywhere (not only on this forum) that you'd need Canadian experience to have a shot at anything. Even in the UK I didn't face this issue tbh.. But hoping it's only the bad experiences that get the most light. I think it won't be a peace of cake but similarly it won't be an impossible endeavour to get something decent in the FS.

I surely hope so :)
