Working in Quebec and want to apply for express entry + Valid job offer

Hello everyone,

I know this case has been discussed a lot, but would really want your help to my specific case.

I did my bachelors degree from University of Waterloo in Ontario and I am originally from India. After completing my bachelors, I moved to India for a year and half. Then I got a job in Montreal and moved to work there since I have a post graduate work permit.
  • I have been working in Montreal for 6 months now.
  • I am eligible for express entry based on my CRS score.
  • My post graduate work permit expires in October 2018.
I have checked that getting CSQ takes almost upto one year in Quebec (if you don't speak French which is true in my case). Then it takes an additional year to get PR in Quebec. So total wait time is 2 years.

In Ontario, it just takes around 8 months to get PR through Express Entry.

  1. I plan to apply for express entry from Quebec. Is it possible for me to somehow stay here and get PR ?
  2. Will I have to quit my current job and move to Ontario because I am applying for express entry ?
  3. Is there any way to show that I am living in Ontario or intend to live there and still do my job in Montreal?
  4. What does it mean to have a valid job offer ? I do not think I have any LMIA from my current job, but I work as a full-time developer (NOC A). So is it a valid job offer ?

Thank you all very much for your help in advance and your patience :)

Looking forward to hearing from you !

No, you can't apply under EE if you intend to live in Quebec. End of story.

Even if you live in Ontario It would be extremely difficult, if not impossible to convince CIC that you will not return to Quebec if you still work for an employer there. Would you believe it if you were the immigration officer examining this case?

The best course of action would be to quite your job, get a new job in Ontario, relocate then apply

If you don't have LMIA it's not a valid offer
