Working in Hongkong as a DH then applying as a caregiver in Canada

Hi guys, I am a Registered Nurse in the Philippines and an ex Saudi nurse. Now I am thinking of applying as a domestic helper in Hong Kong so i can pursue my dreams of landing a job in Canada. Because I read a lot of comments that it is easy to go to Canada when you work as a DH in Hong Kong for a year. Am I qualified for this or they only want a caregiver course? yes pwd ka apply kung nasa hk ka na at nakaisang taon ka na sa amo mo...galing din ako nun dun.di ako college grad pero more than 72units ako...now pr nko

Hi there, I submit already my visa application to CVAC here in hongkong, now I am planning to terminate my contract to my chinese employer now and just wait the email of canadian embassy for my visa pick up in hongkong. What will I do, do I not get in trouble about my papers?

Just share what i heard.. u can stay to ur current employer untill your visa will be approved. Unless u go back home to your origin(country).. may i know if when you submitted your applications? Coz me too im dtill waiting for the approval..

Think 100 times. Processing now takes 8 months to 1 year and you have just submitted yesterday. You don't know what will happen next, CIC is very strict now. If I were just continue to work with your employer and be patient.

When you are called for interview any yung questions nila?

wala na pong interview doon.

Hi everyone I'm newbie here, 1year na po q dto aasa hk at magpaprocess na sna aq ng papers I have a sister in Canada so sya bale ang magiging employer q doon.. ask ko lng po sana what if mag process na po ko at inabot po ng end ng contract q next year.,magkakaproblema po ba aq,or ok lang po ba na nasa pinas aq while waiting sa visa ko po.. tska kinekeep po ba nila ung passport kpag ongoing na po ung processing ng papers, ganun po kasi sa pinas kaya confused po ko panu kpag inabot po ng end ng contract ko. slamat po sana po may magreply sa post ko

I applied in person May 24 and got my visa aug 18.. way back 2008 backwards work visas were issued in juz a month..there has been really a lot thats going on ryt now regarding immigration issues.. Longer waiting time for PR is d biggest issue.. I recommend u girls should always check cic for updates and prepare urselves for these changes..gudluck to all..
