Right but my point is, either way an inland applicant in most cases needs to apply for some kind of status extension. Logically it seems to be the easiest/cheapest is via the OWP, since it only needs to be done once and will cover until end of inland processing (up to 18 months later).screech339 said:Actually, any visa extensions, whether its be OWP, visitor, study, give "implied status". If one applied for a visitor status extension instead of OWP, it may be good for 6 or 12 months, after which time they would need to apply for yet another extension and pay more fees if it expires before PR is approved.
