Working hours calculation

Hello guys
I’m an international student in Canada
We are allowed to work 20 hours a week
My question is how will the immigration team calculate our hours while I apply for work permit or pr ??
is it yearly or they see each week ?
because I have worked 24 hours for some weeks.
Last doubt is I was not here in Canada for 3 months so can I work for more hours currently like 26-28 hours / week ??

It is on your paystubs the number of hours you work. You are usually paid biweekly. You submit paystubs with your T4. Doesn’t matter if you were not in Canada, you cannot count the hours retroactively or make up the hours when you were not in Canada.

So my question is, does IRCC count the hours annually and then take the average of my working hours, or do they actually check each and every week? Because I had given 6 hours less, and the week before I also had 14 only, so I have 12 hours left over in a sense. So can I work 32 hours because 32 minus 12 = 20 hours? If IRCC does an annual check, then I can work because I didn't work for the full year, and now I have been working since October.

You can work 20 hours per week. That is all. Hours don’t roll over to the next week. You cannot work one week at 32 hours and then next at 8 hours. That is against the rules.

So tell your employer you can work max 20 hours PER week.

Not an annual average. Your paystubs will show how many hours per week you work. If paid biweekly, again they know if you are working too many hours So IRCC can easily check how many hours through employer too.

Till the time your T4 doesn't look like you are working full time, you would be fine if you worked a few extra hrs here and there.

IRCC has no real mechanism to enforce 20 hr rule as they rely on employers to enforce it. Some employers care, some don't. You shouldn't need to submit your part time work paystubs for any future applications imo, T4 mostly does the job.

How would i know that? Because if they dont check then extra hours could for me because i dint work full year, and I started working last month.

Like I said, there is no real way for IRCC to enforce the 20hr other than through employers. If your employer doesn't care, you are fine. T4 doesn't break down your income by hrs, it's your annual income. You won't be generating any significant income anyways so there's really nothing to worry about.

Also, you won't find anyone who worked more than 20 hrs and was refused future application like PGWP. Most people send that information voluntarily because they think IRCC will find out (they really don't have the resources for this). Canada's immigration system is not as robust as they say, hundreds of thousands fall through the cracks.
