Hi,
Can someone please help me.
I have been in Canada from UK on a working holiday visa, which runs out in Sep.
I have been working full time the whole year and not had a chance to see the country. Now I have money saved I would like to take some time off to travel. Do I have to apply for the 3 month visitor visa? How do I go about this? Do I have to go out of the country and come back in.
I have tried searching the CIC website and tried calling but can't seem to get the right information. I have heard different information from differnet people and I just want to clarify what the correct way to go about this is.
Any advice would be much appreciated!

1. You can apply for an extension as a visitor by completing the forms here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/visitor.asp processing time 167 days by mail 73 days electronically. But if you don't have an address where they can send it to, you are probably better off going to the border to be readmitted as a visitor. Take proof of return ticket, funds and passport.

Thanks for the reply.
If I go down the extension route ( I have a friends address that it can be sent to) is it too late to apply now if my visa runs out in less than the time it takes to process the application?

Yes, as long as your application reaches CPC-V on or before the expiration of your status; 30 days before expiration of status is what CIC suggests.
