Hi All,

I am also in the same situation. Could you guys please help me:

I worked in India and Canada for the same employer. I filled the work history differently to take Canada experience points. I got ITA now so they are asking to provide work history proof for all entries.

Ist questions:
1. What should I do because I get only one letter from the employer specifying all locations?

Second question:
As I am on assignment to Canada what should I gave as proof for the below documents which CIC is asking me to upload:

1. Offer of employement
2. Letter of employement
3. Work History proof.

Please help me. Many many thanks in advance.

Regards
Rajvir

Were you on a Canadian payroll? If you were on a work permit and paid taxes in Canada, then copies of your T4 should be used as supporting documents. Your employment letter should mention that there's a Canadian address where you worked for a specific period of time.

You can refer to this article for more info.

I have all my work experience in a single company but worked in 3 countries - India, the USA, and Canada. These assignments have multiple to and from between India and the USA. In the EE profile, I have entered employment as per the country (with date range worked in a country) as the company will be a different entity if the country changes. However, while entering employment history post ITA, I found 8 employment boxes. Should I upload employment proofs for all these 8 boxes?

Initially, I planned to divide the employment proofs country wise and make it as 3 employment documents with LOE at the beginning as the cover page.

Please advise if I have to provide required documents in all these 8 boxes with:
1. Same reference letter (which has all date ranges and designations mentioned in it along with duties - which are the same for all designations) in all these 8 boxes (employment sections).
2. Same HR verification letter (just one provided by HR with the latest designation but the date of joining of the parent company is mentioned).
3. Related offer letters for each work assignment
4. Promotion letter (if any)
5. Respective country's tax slips or payslips for that date period indicated?

I am in a similar situation. I don't know the "right" answer but I put in a new entry for every time my country changed, my level/seniority changed, or when my noc changed (it went back and forth between two nocs a couple times). I've been at the same firm for 17 years, 3 countries, 2 nocs and multiple level changes. The last country noc and level has been the same for the past three or four years in Canada.

My employer wrote one letter that matched all of this with separate sections for all the roles/levels/countries/nocs. Each section of the doc detailed dates, location, hours, salary and duties. The letter also contained statements that covered the provision of a job offer for at least one year into the future after PR.

I uploaded the same letter for all of the document submission lines about employment and I put in a couple of paragraphs to explain it in my optional documents LOE.

I have some fellow employees that did the same and got their pr but they didn't have quite as many changes as me. So in theory it should be fine but you never know for sure as it's based on the visa officer's perception.

My AOR is May 2nd so I won't know if this worked until I pass eligibility :)

you're welcome, although I make no promises of value ;) when the visa officer actually looks at my application they'll probably have an aneurysm. Worked in one company but lines and lines of complexity, and lots of pages to read in the docs. Name change. Complicated medical situation as well. On top of all that, also have 70+ entries in the travel section pingponging back and forth between the three countries for work and visiting friends. it'll be a miracle if my application is processed anywhere close to the "typical" 6 months.

can you please guide to me case:

I need your guidance to my case. My work experience is only with one employer since Aug 2017. During this 13 years, I traveled to onsite multiple times on deputations and got many promotions. In 2019 my company has processed my ICT closed work permit for NOC 0213 and I moved to Canada in Apr 2019 from USA for same employer but its Canadian entity. In my EE profile, I entered the details separate entries based on designations and location. Below is the snapshot:

DATES

OCCUPATION / ACTIVITY

COUNTRY

NAME OF EMPLOYER
NOC
APR-2019 to TILL DATETECHNICAL ARCHITECTCANADAXYZ CANADA INC0213
APR-2016 to APR-2019TECHNICAL ARCHITECTUSAXYZ INC0213
DEC-2014 to MAR-2016TECHNICAL SPECIALISTUSAXYZ INC2174
DEC-2012 to DEC-2014TECHNICAL SPECIALISTINDIAXYZ PVT LIMITED2174
SEP-2012 to DEC-2012TECHNICAL SPECIALISTUSAXYZ INC2174
OCT-2011 to SEP-2012PROJECT LEADINDIAXYZ PVT LIMITED2174
APR-2011 to OCT-2011PROJECT LEADUSAXYZ INC2174
NOV-2009 to MAR-2011ANALYST PROGRAMMERUSAXYZ INC2174
AUG-2008 to NOV-2009ANALYST PROGRAMMERINDIAXYZ PVT LIMITED2174
AUG-2007 to AUG-2008GRADUATE ENGINEER TRAINEEINDIAXYZ PVT LIMITED2174

I got invitation under CEC. My CRS points is still above cutoff if they consider only with my CEC work experience and atleast 1 year of Foreign exp.
I have few queries on which I would need advice/ clarification:
1. My company is large organization, and does not provide reference letter with job duties. They only provide one employment verification letter that will contain Emp name, initial DOJ when I joined them in India, current designation title, current salary. The company name mentioned is XYZ CANADA INC. There will be no mentioning of any other company foreign subsidiaries. I can get a reference letter from my current manager that I can upload it with company's standard letter plus canada deputation letter in my canadian exp. For other rows, I am planing to upload same company's standard letter along with random paystubs, W2, form16, tas return, increment/ promotion letters, USA visa petition copies, deputation letters in the respective work period. Please advise if this sufficient and attaching same company's standard letter in all rows is acceptable along with LOE.

2. To claim Foreign exp. points, Do I have to get exp. letter from previous Mgrs & notarized as it is difficult to convince Mgrs whom you left? Or I can do self affidavit mentioning job duties and notarize it. In my US L1b visa application processed by my employer, they provided duties matching 70% to 2174 lead statement on which I worked in first and second US deputations. Do you think VO will be consider the fact that I moved from US entity to Canadian entity of same employer on ICT work permit which requires one to have atleast 1 yr of exp in similar capacity in last 3 yrs within same company's foreign entity.

3. In my USA work exp just before coming to canada, I relocated to different city within USA for 5 months, but role and responsibility were not changed. This was a short term assignment and hence only I relocated without family members. I didn't mentioned this as a separate entry. I just included in my previous work city exp. Hope is the fine.

Appreciate your inputs.

Disclaimer - I have not read your full post. It's far too long.

Just one comment looking at the table you posted. You are over complicating things. The CRS score maxes out at 3 years of work experience. In your case your 1 year CEC experience is enough for your CRS scores. If I were you I would move rest of the work experience to personal history. There is no need to show work history starting 2007 as for each entry you would need to upload a letter. You could upload the same letter however each period would need to be called out in the letter. You can keep things simple and just have 1 line in work experience section.

Thanks @cansha Is it possible to make changes to work history section after receiving ITA ? Per my understanding CIC would definitely maintain history of changes as what was submitted in the profile submission before ITA and post ITA ? Can you please help?

yes, as long as the changes don't effect your score for which you received the ITA

Got it Thanks. Just a followup question, when you say changes should not effect your score - Is that mean any changes that brings down my CRS point but not lower than ITA Cut off score at the time of draw is also prohibited?

No one compares application to pre ITA vs Post ITA. You can make changes as needed. When a analyst picks your case file they will recalculate your points and if your points are greater than cut off for your ITA round you are good to go.
