Just tired and lost all of my patience Applied on Oct 1st for PGWP still nothing And no one has a answer why its not approved yet status shows open i still get those updates in my mail but nothing is actually going on just waiting for that good day when i will that PGWP letter in my mail

How long days they need to finish?

I applied work permit on 27th oct and now cic is working on 26th oct
So I have to wait 3 months more?

Don't worry I don't think it will effect ....if anything then they will write you or your employer to double check so relax and never apply same thing again until you get the decision of the first one....if you will then you will be screwed in real my friend.

I called Cic today and asked if I should do anything about it. The agent told me this may not affect application, though if I wanted to I could sent an explanation letter with corrected contract to Cic. Now I just don't know what to do, because I applied online and if I mail the explanation letter to the their office would they be able to do anything about it?! I'll try to call there tomorrow to see if I can learn smth from a different agent. I just worry that by the time they are going to process my application my current WP would be expired, and if they refuse I would be in trouble=(

My friend don't worry.....Don't get confused the max you have to do is explanation letter which you have done so wait.....I am positive they won't play with your case....they knew very well these tiny errors.....so don't send them and make your case more complicated for them.....you have proves with you, that you called the agent and he guided you the correct procedure....so I would suggest just wait...and keep the documentation as evidence for future....if your permit get expired and your decision will be under process then still you can legally work and drive on implied status....

Hi I got the message today from CIC that mine and my spouse's BOWP has been approved (my application for PR is still in process). I had applied online on Dec 21, 2015. So it took less than 3 months.
Does anyone know how long it takes to arrive in the mail after receiving the email from CIC?

I applied for BOWP under AOR from my CEC program , my children have student visa and it will expire at 17th March , I am expecting my extension at April , What should I do for them ? Restoring their visas or applying for their student extension ? My work permit will expire in March and i will be in implied status , But what about them , I really don't know how to do

I think you should just apply for your children's extension to stay before the expiry of their visa. Do it online tonight itself.
I have a child whose visitor's visa is expiring with my work permit. I applied for my work permit and then child's visa. Got my work permit approved today. So, now when they ask for a copy of it for my child's visa, I will be able to send them one.

Hi Guys,

I just applied on my PGWP extension and I just wanted to find out if anyone has gone through the way I did. I got laid off in 2014 Dec and on the CIC website it says I can extend it if I prove that I had gaps in my employment, (Not amounting the 4 years ) so in my letter of explanation, I added my ROE (which has my sev pay) and the the reason I lost my job and my notice of assessment for last year as well as EI benefits T4. Does this apply to getting a positive result do yal think ?

So speak of the devil. I just checked my online profile again and the application is said to be "updated". When I click on the details it says "closed" and Final Decision: Approved.

Seems like it is going to be ok. I am just not sure what are the next steps. Do I wait for them to send me the message, or will they send me a letter or something? I never did an extension so I don't know what are the next steps.Can someone advice? Do you know how long it takes them to normally deliver this? I have possible business trip planned for march 1st, but I don't know if it will be finished till then.

So how many days did it take you receive the paper document since the day they approved your work permit?
I just got the email saying it's approved. Mine expiring end of the month. Thanks.
