Work Permit Extension (August and Sept applicants)

Guys please I need some guidance. I am about applying for my WP extension under Live in caregiver category. I am looking at the document checklist and I have some questions:
1. They are asking for offer of employment to a Foreign national exempt from LMIA with proof of payment from the employer. They said my employer should provide this to me
- my employer does not understand what this means. Are they asking him to provide a new offer letter to me or proof of exemption from LMIA??
2. A copy of LMIA provided by ESDC if applicable and a copy of job offer letter from your prospective employer
- my employer is not sure if by point number 2 above he is required to apply for a new LMIA for me or just provide the old Labour market opinion. Also he is confused on the difference between the offer letter in point number 1 and number 2 above
3. Photocopy of your return ticket if you have one
- My return ticket has expired. Do I need another one just to extend my work permit?

I applied for a live in caregiver work permit extension with the same employer too. Where did you get this info? My document checklist was different. In mine I had to provide copies of my passport pages, new extended contract, an application form and a medical examination. Where are you looking? You've got some weird info.

I applied Sept 13, 2015 still no news...

Approved today, applied in Sept 15. 2015 through online, paper would be faster perhaps most of applicants extended wp via online.

yup, same one. but they should be quite close in terms of processing timeline.

Guys I applied my work permit extension on 6th September. My medical request came on 18th january I got it done on 20th January. I talked to hospital they said they sent my report to cic on 26th January. But no application updating yet Can anyone please let me know till when can I expect my work permit.

roman_emperor, we seriously have got to stop waiting, you and me. I came to the point when I just lost my patience and had a major breakdown. Let's have a drink instead! Screw all this, really. You and I still need our nerves healthy. Work in Canada isn't everything after all. Am I right? ;D
