Hi RobsLuv! I finally did my extension of OWP today and i did it by online application. Is it ok to do it by online or by mailing? Because the last time I did it by post mail. The application online form is different in the mailing forms thats why i got little confused. The questionnaires are not the same ...let me know your opinion. Thanks a bunch!
In my opinion, the advantage to applying by mail is that you can track the mailing, get delivery confirmation, and then have written proof that your application was received before your status expired. If you can get that through an online receipt, that's fine as well. The ability to apply online just came in as I was applying for the last time - so I never used it. Don't know what options you have for confirmation of receipt online, but if you have them, go for it. Online is certainly faster and easier than going to the post office and paying extra $$ to send with tracking.

Thanks again! :) Online application is much easier as I realized it today just the questionnaire is not the same as when you send it by mail but everything is clear ,in the end I got the confirmation number and they also send a message of confirmation in my email , its saves time and money ! ;)

Hi Robsluv in response to your reply about importance to extend stay
I will like your feed back to my situation

Here it I came to Canada 2011, extended my stay ,it was granted, I started living with my now husband, in start of extention, was suppose to get married and put through paperwork , however upon request of divorce decree which did not have and had to then apply for, upon request then to find out his divorce of ten years ago was not finalize so had to get it completed which took some time, i then applied for another extension which was not refuse but made the payment the wrong way so the paperwork was sent back to have the right payment method and return, how i did not follow through and i know it is irresponsible of me , the reason it we were so close to getting married ,also i when online downloaded the sponsorship documents and requirements, there i read where i person no longer have to have status to be married to a Canadian it lead me to believe it was ok to not renew extension so i did not , again stupid,, any way we got married sent in paper work through lawyer in Sept 2013 so still waiting,
my concern and question is ,,,, would my spouse be denied to be able to sponsor me , or would 1st be approve and this matter affect my PR,
Have any one been in this situation, was it a positive case or what happened

thank you for the replies ?

I sponsored my husband and we were denied, I appealed, it's currently in the appeal process. My question is" if my husband was offered a job under the temporary work permit" can he apply for this. Thank you
