Hello!
Maybe some disclaimers first:
1) I am rarely on this forum, so I am not familiar with the threads and subtopics. If my question is in the wrong section, I apologize.
2) I am generally horrible with bureaucratic things, so please excuse me if I am using a term or concept incorrectly or just appear to be plain-stupid w/respect to these regards^^
Background: I am German and living in Canada on a (still valid) student visa since Feb 2015. My partner and I have applied for my Permanent Residency under the Spousal Sponsorship Program(we are together since 2012). Along with the application I filed for an (off-campus, full time and open) work permit. This work permit arrived last week Friday (3/4/16) and it is 'in force' since 2/25/16.
It further says "Pending FC APR" under "Remarks/Observations" (=="pending family class approval" I guess). No other documents were shipped from CIC.
I am very eager to find employment asap in Canada, but I am not sure what to do next. I do not have a PR-Card yet (obviously) - can I still get a SIN-Number?
Any help is extremely welcome and thank you very much for your assistance!
