Work Permit Applications at NYC for 2013

Guys, I got my passport today. And USPS tracking actually works approximate total time for my application was around 10 weeks. Good luck to all of you!

10 weeks? that's not what i wanted to hear. i only have 8 until my current wp expires :/

vahid.gh, I sent a USPS express return envelope with my application package (which carries a tracking number). iam_toby, my personal conclusion is that the consulate processing time is highly case specific - some people have recently received their work permit in 6-7 weeks as well. Send them an inquiry email after 30 days have passed, reminding them about your wp expiry. good luck !

Applied 9th Jan, mail recieved 8th March. Good luck mate

I have applied online on Jan 30 2013 and received approval email on Mar 01.

Sent passport to NYC embassy on Mar 04 2013..No response from embassy..please let me know how long it will take to get passports.

I have applied online on Jan 30 2013 and received approval email on Mar 01.

Did u apply online? In my case, I had to send my passport along with my application. Applied on 24th jan, still waiting. :'(
