Just a heads up guys. I managed to process my UAE Police clearance in Abu Dhabi (Commonly called as Certificate of Good Conduct).
The process was very straightforward.
The current steps:
1.) If you have an Emirates ID, you may proceed by applying online (https://es.adpolice.gov.ae/gccr/Application.aspx?Culture=en) and choose New Application.
2.) Fill out the needed information (Personal Information, Passport Information, Submitted To (In this case you have to to indicate: Embassy of Canada) and Visa Information. There is an option in the form if you need it translated and legalized for an additional fee of AED 100.00. Normal fee is AED 50.00.
3.) Print the completed application and ensure to keep a copy of your Passport Identity Page, UAE Visa Label Page, Emirates ID and 1 Passport Sized Photo.
4.) The normal form of payment is E-DIRHAM AED 50.00 and the Translation and Legalization Fee is only by CASH (AED 100.00).
(E-Dirham can be purchased at any National Bank of Abu Dhabi and Abu Dhabi Islamic Banks).
5.) Within 24 Hours you will get an SMS that your application has been approved.
6.) You can then proceed to the Abu Dhabi Police Centre (4th Floor) near Ministry of Labor and Khalifa and present the application form. The Police station accepts applicants until 2:30pm but it is best to be there in the morning.
8.) Depending on the number of applicants but it will only take 5 minutes and you get your UAE Certificate of Good Conduct. Please review the form and ensure all the details are correct.
Note: Shabeya Police Station issues Certificate of Good Conduct but for some reason they are not able to provide one with your picture. Thus, you still need to go the Police Centre near the Min of Labour to get one with your picture on it.
I hope this helps to those future UAE Cert of Good Conduct applicants in Abu Dhabi.
