Hello. I found this page from the IRCC where it says that someone could have Work Permit and Study Permit at the same time.

https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=1618&top=17

It says:
There are some things to know about holding 2 permits:

The work experience you gain while you hold a study permit won’t count towards the work experience requirements of permanent residence programs.

they also say the same for IEC visa holders:https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=934&top=25

So, if I work on a work permit while studying, the work experience won’t count towards the PR process? Or it’d be a work experience gained outside of my work permit?

Usually you can count your experience as foreign experience, not Canadian, if on a study permit. If on a study permit, your work experience cannot be counted as Canadian. What is your NOC going to be?

Have you received admission as it may be tool late for fall so looking at January 2023. Pay your first year tui and show a minimum of $10k for living expenses. Select a program that builds on your education and shows career advancement from your home country. All the best.

Yes, I’ll apply for January.
the NOC for the work visa will be 1123.
They usually consider work experience gained while on IEC visa for the CEC. As I have understood, if I study while on IEC Visa, the experience wouldn’t count then, right?

You have two threads going. So your NOC for your original IEC was 1123 too? You may not get a response by the time your work permit expires in March if you have to still reapply (if approved).

Correct, if on an IEC it will count as Canadian experience. During studies with a study permit, you can count it as foreign experience. Do you meet the requirements of Express Entry and have ECAs and IELTS completed as those are mandatory documents? If not, you should start the process.

Yep, my original noc is 1123. I haven't started the EE yet. I'll start as soon as I get my diploma (my university takes so months to do it), so I can have the necessary documents before opening my profile.
WP applications are taking 5 months, I believe I'd get an answer by January or so. That's why I decided to apply for the student visa too

Hopefully, everything works out. You need IELTS too, and one year continuous skilled experience. To be eligible for EE, you need at least 67 points.
