0125 – Other business services managers
1123- Professional occupations in advertising, marketing and public relations
4163- Business development officers and marketing researchers and consultants
I have some confusion related to NOC codes while filling up the work history section of the EE profile. I would seek the guidance of seniors or experts who have faced similar situation.
First of all I would like to understand what is more important to determine NOC code – job title or function in the organization?
Now, I have been working as a research manager for a reputed communications agency from over two years. So I assume my primary noc code while filling up the EE profile is 0125 (as other business services managers include manager of market research service). Correct me if I am wrong.
I have been an integral part of a marketing function of a mid-sized IT companies in my previous jobs. My job title here was Research Analyst and Senior Research Executive. It has been exclusively mentioned in my job description as my main role is to provide research support through amassing market intelligence and information for augmenting the sales and business development teams. In addition, I am required to conduct surveys, author reports, present findings, identify business opportunities and make slide decks. This is typically the role of a research analyst (NOC 4163). Now since it has been explicitly mentioned in my job description as I belong to marketing function, should I consider HERE my NOC code as 1123.
