There can be no doubt that IRCC means 52 full time weeks when they say 12 months. I would like to hear from applicants who applied with less by days, not weeks. I have not seen any recent posts that offer a definitive position regarding this.
I have more than 3 years of experience but was wondering what to write in my work history july to july or to june

Did you work on July 1 XXXX and July 1 the following year? Then claim July to July. If not, then claim July to June.

Write the actual month you started and stopped working. If u started on 30th June - you started in June. Same for end date. These dates should reflect in your work reference letters as well.

If u started 30th June 2015 and stopped 1st June 2016 - the tool will say you worked from June 2015 to Jun 2016 and treat it as a year, but it is not a year of work ex. Do a manual calculation and see how many days/weeks it is.

So based on all the answers I have received so far, I think Jan 18, 2016 to February 8th 2017 will definitely be considered more than one year, Regardless of the month I put in (I have put in 01/2016 to current date). Please correct me if I am wrong. Thank you!

The onus lies on the applicant to ensure a full 365 day/52 week work year.
The IRCC website also mentions the number of hours during a 12-month period. In my case, I worked 52 weeks out of the year (361 days), even if one week was only partial. And I may very well have worked the minimum 30 hours in that week to be considered full time.

IRCC only mentions months or hours:
Your experience must be at least 12 months of full-time (30 hours of paid work per week or more) or an equal amount in part-time hours.

Full Time

30 hours/week for 12 months = 1 year full time (1,560 hours)

Part time

15 hours/week for 24 months = 1 year full time (1,560 hours)
OR
30 hours/week for 12 months at more than one job = 1 year full time (1,560 hours)
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/cec/apply-who.asp

You will find nothing here about 365 days or 52 weeks.

Yes I am definitely sure that you dont need to work 52 weeks in total ( 7 days a week), otherwise the express entry profile calculation is way off!! Imagine how many weekends you have in there...

Sorry,

Obviously I did not mean you have to work each day out of the 365 day period. I meant, you should be actively employed for that period of time. The 365 day period also includes weekends and vacation days you may have taken.

And yes, min 30/hours per week and for 12 month. Both conditions are important. It cannot be a day less than 12 full months, even if you fulfilled your hours requirements way before the 12 month period ended.

You are clear to apply. Your reference letter will state Jan 18, 2016 in any case

I am curious, my contract start date was Jan 1 2016, but I didn't get a PGWP until Jan 5. My program of study officially ended on Dec 17 2015. Does my study permit allow me to claim my work experience from Jan 1-4? I read somewhere that a valid study permit could be used to work while obtaining a PGWP for up to 90 days, but I haven't been able to find this information. Could someone advise on this?

Guys,

Many have faced rejections because they assumed their experience is okay and they received ITA because of CIC asks for only month and year (stupidity on their part but nothing we can do). The applicants did not have 12 months instead had 11 months and 1 week or 11 months and 2 weeks and got rejects. CIC always says its our responsibility to ensure we have full 365 day/52 week experience, no matter what their own system says

Always err on the far side of caution here. Make sure it is a full 365 day work experience. To remove any room for interpretation, I waited till 54-55 weeks to apply and get ITA and not 52 weeks on the dot.

Hi, I joined 15th of June and relieved on 9th June next year. I have 361 days working days which 52 week started but not completed. My working hours per week is 40 hours as well. Can I eligible to mention it's as one year experience for Canada Express Entry 100 points system. Request for your kind response. It'll be great help.
