Withdrawal of MPNP Application after receiving a procedural fairness letter

A friend got a Procedural Fairness Letter from MPNP. Is it advisable for him to address the issue and withdraw his application at this point?

Why bother addressing PFL if you want to withdraw?

I don't believe so but you can respond with an intent to withdraw while accepting and addressing the misrepresentation you have committed. This might help you save yourself from the 5 year ban.

You can't withdraw after getting a Procedural Fairness letter. IRCC will continue to process the app.

I sent them an email addressing the misrepresentation and was honest about it.Afterwards i asked for a withdrawal but I haven't received a response from them.
