That's exactly the answer i'm looking for, thank you very much ! :)
I totally agree , " For FSW inlanders, POF is mandatory "

In case if the person is currently working in Canada , then he dont need to showcase 6 months average balance.
All he need to show the payroll account having sufficient balance at the time of application and at the time of landing.

In between , CIC cant access accounts to check balance as part of BG check..

Any comment Plzz ?

it is not required to keep money till the end... you need to show current balance in your account at the time of apply and at the time of landing. in between it is your money you can translate however you want... CIC can not check the account balance , without your permission...

Of course to play safe you can keep the money till you complete landing...

I know cases who used money and got PPR..
Do you really think, CIC blindly believes the POF documents that we submit ?.

As far as I know, in some cases (if not all) they call your bank and verify the account balance. If they find the balance less than the required amount, I don't think they will be happy. This is one reason, at landing time they simply ask for how much CAD we are carrying but they never count it or ask (most) people to even show it - because CIC has already done the verification.

Do you think CIC can look into your financial / health details without your notice ?
it is illegal , I am talking about this based on example...

As said earlier .. to play safe keeping the balance in same account is always good ... However I am just talking about background scenario's in real cases...

I have a diff view. Bank can not give this information without consent of the account holder. So it is a big no no. If it was possible, US Tax authorities could have taken bank account details of Swiss bank accounts.....

Practically, it is not possible for CIC to call each and every bank globally asking/waiting to talk to a customer representative and enquiring about the bank account details. I dont think it is the case.

Two points
1. Every Bank is not Swiss Bank
2. Banks may not tell the exact amount, but CIC is fine with just knowing if the amount is > LICO or not. that any bank can say.

If you're under CEC, you're completely exempted from POF requirements. For FSW inlanders, POF is mandatory even if they are holding a valid job inside Canada and paying taxes. They will be asked for POF along with the application and might be asked for POF at 'landing' as well.
Is that statement true for PNP inlands as well ?
My EE profile shows CEC eligible and then I applied through PNP, So does that mean my application falls under CEC PNP ?

if you receive ITA under CEC, then you dont need to show POF...

Most like PNP applicants getting ITA's under CEC category...

POF is mandatory for FSW...

I am sure CIC know how to do that...else they won't be asking for it just to fill their files. And if they can prove to banks that they are immigration authorities and are asking for immigration process, banks have no reason to deny it.

They simply have to prove their identity first and then ask the bank whether or not the applicant's account balance is greater than their base requirement, in this case bank only has to answer yes or no without giving away any confidential information. I know they do similar stuff to check if international student is studying full-time or not in Canadian institution.
Personally I don't think the bank will give away confidential info without letting you sign the consent form. You even have to sign one for a mortgage application in Canada if the bank wants to do background check on you, but there's always another way of getting what CIC wants.

I have been qualified under FSW and CEC, but got invited under FSW. Is it mandatory to show funds greater than LICO . i am on a valid work permit in canada and have been getting my salary . TO my knowledge , proof of funds is not on the checklist when we go for landing . The money that i have on my account are the ones that i saves apart from the expenses that i have in Canada .

Could someone clarify ?
