Withdraw CEC application

I am planning to withdraw my application under CEC and resubmit a fresh one. The issue with my current application is that the NOC code on my Work Permit and on my application do not match. Based on reading the forum for similar questions, I found it best to withdrew my application.
My question is, when I do withdrew the app, will CIC be sending me my entire application package back? Will they still keep a track of my old application? I want to make sure they do NOT compare the two as the NOC codes (and consequently a few duties in my employment letter) will be different.
CIC received my application on 29th Apr 2013 and I have NOT received my AOR yet.

I would say reapply . Just email them that you want to retract your application

Will email suffice to withdraw the application? Or should I send a signed and printed copy of the request? Does anyone have any format / template for the request?

I dont think there is any form to cancel it . Just email them and they ll let you know.

I called CIC and they asked me to mail CIC Sydney a signed Withdrawal letter. The letter also needs to state the reason for withdrawal. What details can I put in the reason for withdrawal? Will it suffice to say that I used the wrong NOC code in the app? Should I put the details around what I used in the app (2173) instead of the one I should have used (2171)?

Mentioning that you withdraw due to a mistake in NOC code would suffice. You won't need an explanation going further than that.

So basically u just mailed a letter of withdrawl to CIO with the same address you mailed your application to?

Is there anything in specific that i need to mention in my letter?

My withdrawal went thru successfully.

No, they didn't send back the application package nor did they refund any money

I'm not sure if you're still active here but I'm going through a similar situation. Did you wait for your AOR to submit a request for withdrawal? And if I haven't received my AOR yet, am I eligible for a full refund?
