So what I have noticed is that most of the sds applicants between 11july -15 july who got additional doc request are still waiting for any kind of update . Rest of the july applicants already started getting updates. I know a couple of those who got additional doc request and ordered gcms notes and found out that interview was recommended, now its upto to the visa officer when they review files again and comment on the elgibilty section.

The current status is "We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements" and "We are processing your background check". Medical was upfront, how long does it take for the medical status to be updated? what's next now for the overall status?

Same bro, I applied under Non-sds aswell with an upfront medical. This week!!

Almost similar timeline.. Except application applied on 19th. No update after that apart that the application is in Ottawa now instead of Edmonton.

I have applied from Pakistan under SDS on 16th September for Jan2021 intake at University of Winnipeg for Marketing management PGD, biometric done on 21st SEP and 1 ghost update and since then stuck on background checks , even medical is not yet passed .. any idea when can i expect any result ?
P.S University of Winnipeg is approved under covid readiness plan

Whats your previous education if your current course doesn't match well with your previous education getting approval for PGD is really hard

did you explain why are you leaving your current job to go for a PGD in your SOP? Because VO's prefer if you go for masters after bachelor instead of a diploma
