Hi guys I'm confused regarding the settlement fund which requires a 3 months bank history..I have an existing bank account since last year....the 3 months bank history is only 5,000 canadian dollars...I am going to deposit the remaining 5,000 canadian dollars this June so the total would be 10,000 canadian which is the required settlement fund...I was advised that I can apply only after 3 months meaning this coming September because of that bank history issue...can u help me guys, thanks a lot....

I can just give you my opinion and observations on how MPNP assess applicants... You have to convince them that you have sufficient funds to settle there. If you will apply with just half of what they require, they might not grant your application. It would be best to show them that you have more than the 10,000 CAD that they require... If you have house and lot titles under your name - you can get the assessors office in your country to provide you the market value through tax declaration - you can submit it as additional proof of funds. It might be better to wait until you have more than enough funds in your account.

In my case, I was saving money for immigration for 2 years before I applied, so I had more than 14,000 CAD by the time I submitted my application.

Right, here are some updates regarding Nairobi VO.

I got an email from Nova Scotia on Friday 20/06/2014 that my file has already been transferred to Nairobi VO and is being held over there.

I contacted the Nairobi VO via telephone and to be honest, I was surprised that they do actually pick up the phone and are very polite. My latest status update is that my file is in a queue to be reviewed by an immigration officer. I therefore queried to as how long can it take for me to be allocated an immigration officer. And to my disappointment, the answer was between 6-12months waiting period..like for **** sake...this bull*censored word* waiting period. Nairobi received my file during April 2014 period.

Infinite Waiting game...

Good day my people. Nice meeting ม all.
I submitted my file to the nominee office by hand on the 28th of june 2013. I was sent an AOR which included my file no on the 9th of August. On the 7th of January this year I was asked for some missing documents through an email I sent the documents on the 10th of january and they sent me an acknowledgent of the reciept of the documents. Since then I've not heard from them.
Please what do ม think could be happening? Moreso can anyone help me on how to check my status cos since I did not submit on line I was unable to check. I think I saw some spreadsheets on this thread where some people were able to check their mpnp status. Please help me. Thanks in anticipation.

Hi Teju:

Patience... That's what we all need. Wait for some time, since you have some missing documents in your initial application that would factor to additional waiting time.

As for checking your status, I don't think there's anyway you can check it because you did not submit your application online.

Hang in there... Just pray and be patient. At least you are done with your medical.
Good luck to us ;D

Thanks Einna! I agree with ม that I have to be patient. I've seen cases similar to mine on this thread and am so happy I joined the forum.
I wish everyone success.

@ Einna,
Thanks so much. I agree with ม! It's that patience I'm drinking and eating now though it's not been easy >:(. Coupled with the fact that I can't check my status online! I have the believe that something good will come up very soon because my had started already before they found out the missing documents according to their mail.
It shall be well with us all.
Cheers.

PR Card, Birth Certificate of your sponsor if s/he is your or your spouse's relative to demonstrate your relationship.

Hello Guys. Im a newbie here.

I was about to submit my MPNP Online application under the Family Sponsorship.... I have a cousin in Manitoba. My Online application in MPNP Online is ready except for the documents of my cousin to be uploaded in the Forms and Documents - Relatives and Friends category.

1. Permanent Residence Card/ Canadian Citizenship Certificate (already uploaded)
2. Manitoba Health Card(already uploaded)
3. Canadian Passport(already uploaded)
4. Proof of Employment.(letter of employment) (Not yet)

My status is I have below 10k Canadian Dollars for settlement funds. My question is, is it very necessary to upload that Proof of employment to be uploaded for the Forms and Documents - Relatives and Friend Category? or Shud I submit now my application for MPNP? because what I know is that the Category of Forms and Documents - Relative and Friends is use to upload proof of close familial relationship, ryt? please correct me if im mistaken. Is Proof of Employment of my cousin ( sponsor ) necessary to be uploaded in the MPNP Application?
